My name is Cherie.
I'm a British Shorthair QUEEN.
My dreams to have little babies to cuddle with have come true.
Since I moved from Arkansas to Toronto I have been to a few shows, met many nice cats.
I just love is up here and I love the snow. I am not into the show biz much,
guess I'm a "homebody" and loving it!

The Kingston Show
February 3-4, 2007
What a trip it was, it was dark, freezing cold, the wind was howling and that was just in the garage.
Bloke and I sleep all the way, we missed the white outs, cars doing donuts and driving off road. The skating part was exciting for everyone! The new tires apparently helped.
We finally got to the hotel after midnight, the room was cozy and warm with a huge king size bed. Bloke quickly took possession of a big pillow and I slept on a chair. I don't know how Guy and Natalie put up with that kind of behavior. Oh well! Kids today...
The show hall was full of cat lovers who don't mind getting out in a blizzard and go to cat shows, some had never seen a British Shorthair cat before.
Bloke and I where called Russian Blues, sometimes Chartreux, excuse my French. We were not offended and Guy was more than happy showing us off.
In addition to my CFA Champion title I qualified for my CCA Championship, won some cat toys and three big ribbons I am not allowed to play with. Guy and Natalie were proud of us.
Bloke is a natural for show he is such a ham, he has an accent you know, he is from Downunda he says. Be good to your pets, bye for meow!
Love, Cherie |
News from the Kids
Fall 2006
My boys and girls are so sweet. They write and send photos to the cattery all the time. They all live happily with their adoptive families, I am so proud of them!
I have babies all across the country you know..... A bit like my last boyfriend, from what I heard!
Danny Boy lives in Montreal with Sandie and her wonderful family. He is just five months old but is fluent in both English and French and has already made a few eBay purchases himself.
Look at Leeva checking out the internet, with Maranda's supervision of course. . .
So Kids don't forget Mom, send a photo occasionally or ask your new parents to type a few words for you.
I love you all and ...REMEMBER. Always do it the BOX!
Keep up the good work, Kids! Love you, Cherie |

Boreal's Super Mom!
July 2006
It all happened one night as I woke up and heard the sound of crying kittens.
I checked it out and found that my friend Mourka left her kittens to go party with the crowd.
WELL, after coughing the biggest hairball I ever seen I concluded that I couldn't leave the sweeties like that.
If Mourka can't take care of them I said to myself "I will..."
I carried the little ones, one at a time, to my pad and cuddled with the whole gang all night.
Mourka ... Woke up in the living room, clueless of what happened and searched everywhere for her babies. She finally found everybody safe and sound in my pen and helped with the feeding.
I love Mourka, she is a nice girl but "Babies come first" in my book. I think she learned a lesson this time. |

Being a good Mom is the most important thing in my life.
Sometimes, I wish I could adopt all the orphan kittens in the world.
I dream of my kittens being heroes and best friends. In the best or the worst of times. Loyal to their families as all Brits should be. |
